Social Sciences partnered with the Jeffersonville Township Public Library to launch a program on Revisiting the Founding Era, which includes a town hall discussion of how the controversies of the Founding Era, including issues related to gender, the homeless, and veterans, continue to play out in our community today. Revisiting the Founding Era is a three-year national initiative of The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, presented in partnership with the American Library Association and the National Constitution Center, with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Tonight we dive into history as we Revisit the Founding Era with Drs. Kelly Ryan and Daniel Krebs the featured authors in tonight’s Town Hall discussion on Inequality from the Founding Era to the present. Along with Barb Anderson, the president of the South Central League of Women Voters, Dr. Kevin Burke, physician and former Clark County health officer, and Judith Cutsinger, the housing choice voucher manager for the Jeffersonville Housing Authority.
